I have always loved to write and read since I was a little girl. Going to the library and getting a couple of books, be it Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys – and when I hit my teenage years of course Sweet Valley High, I was in seventh heaven. Writing to me is an extension of who I am, and it helped me through a very difficult period in my life between the ages of 13 and 18 when my parents divorced and life as I knew it was over. It took me a while to put all the pieces together again, but I learned so much about myself on that journey. Today I am part corporate business woman, part photographer and blogger, and let’s not forget the very important Mom and Wife part I have 3 amazing little cherubs called Isabella London, Daniella Milan, and Lawrence Jnr that I share with my Mr. handsome as I call him, Lawrence Moller.
I studied at the University of Cape Town in South Africa where I obtained my degree in Organizational Psychology, and am currently studying towards my MBA through Liverpool University in England. I had a very interesting life after University, moving through various industries as I started life in the corporate world. I kicked off my career in Oil & Gas at Shell, then moved to Anglo American in mining, then to the FMCG (Alcoholic Beverages) Industry. I spent most of my career in Human Resources – and having worked with a few multinationals, have learned a thing or two in the process through great mentors and leaders whom I was lucky to have.
Then 3 years ago everything changed! We made the drastic decision of moving countries as my husband (a Civil Engineer) found an amazing career opportunity in Saudi Arabia. My life as a corporate business woman and a serious workaholic suddenly turned upside down as I took a sabbatical, and moved to the land of Camels and Sand! I made some wonderful new friends, and fell in love with photography, as well as got bitten by the wanderlust bug! I also discovered new and old passions, such as finding time to write, play piano, teach, sketch and paint, and doing DIY and home décor.
I love to share my knowledge, experience and skills with others. I belief that only in uplifting others, and giving back, can we make this world a better place. So check out my blog.
